Girls Medium Length with Curls

Girls Medium Length with Curls – Curls are not easy to manage and maintain so you really need to find a curly haircut that will really tame your hair and make it move or stay the way you want it. With her kind of hair, Radona finds the layered cut much easier in taming less stressful curls. Layered curls maximize the definition and allow the curls to bounce around the way you dream of.   Learn more about Girls hairstyles by visiting our main site.

Even though Radona starts with a damp hair, it is best not to cut it too short because of the curls. Curly hair tends to straighten up when wet and shortens when dry, so be very careful about how you cut the length of curly hair.

Curly Hair Shrinks

A curly hair shrinks more than the straight hair, anywhere from ½ to 2 inches, but sometimes even more. Make sure you cut the length longer than the desired result. This can be done by either holding the sections between the fingers or use the comb to hold the air.

As you can see, the curl patterns of the girl are slightly wavy. Let me tell you this secret first. The curlier the hair, the more it shrinks. For every ¼ inch you cut when the hair is wet, it shrinks up to 1 inch when dry.

When cutting the sides, you need to tilt the head and not bend so you won’t be able to cut it too short. Curls can be unpredictable and difficult to control. Turning the client sideways or tilting the head helps create even lines as well as maintain the visual balance while working on the curls.

Detangling the curls from the bottom up can be such a challenge at times that is why Radona helps settle the curls by layering it. Each curl is a potential breaking point and layering it best handles the waves and the movement. The curls can look bouncy and fresh if you get the trim every six to eight weeks. Although a curly hair is packed with life and personality, it may not behave for long.

The best way to know if both sides have been evenly cut is cross checking, where you part the haircut in the opposite way for precision of line and shape. The idea is just to cross check the lengths.

Here is one great tip. The density or thickness of the hair determines the size of the subsection. This means the thicker the hair, the narrower the subsection. Likewise, the thinner the hair, the wider would be the subsection.

Look closely as Radona cuts the crown area. See how she pays close attention to the curls and the natural fall of the hair. This is because, usually, the crown area is the danger zone. She let the hair fall into its natural falling position and cuts it to match the guide.

Curls natural fall

Radona cuts the interior first especially the back of the head to create a guide. This is applicable for long, short or medium length hair. Curly hair can be a challenge but can be a lot of fun to cut too.

Cutting a curly hair requires less tension. I suggest using a wide tooth comb so you do not stretch it even more because the hair shrinks when it dries. Leaving the lengths longer keeps the shape from shrinking or ending up too short.

This is the main reason Radona teaches us not to pull the hair too much or straighten it because she needs to work with the curls natural fall. If you observe, she is not using a razor this time because doing so weakens the cuticle and causes the hair to frizz.

Soft waves require a layered cut that keeps the back longer as well as shapes the top and sides. A wonderful way to tame all the curls and make them move or stay where you want them is to slightly layer all around and then blunt cut for control.

Radona is doing the right thing. She also lightly texturized the curls to add mobility. No matter what length of curly hair you have, the best technique to shape the curls is only layering. Not layering can make the head look messy and go in any direction!

Not layering the curls may end up with a shape that may not look flattering when the weight of the hair pulls the curls down. I can see that cutting a curly hair is also an art.

The layers look great for the girl’s curly hair. Keeps the hair looking full and long as possible.

special layering technique enhances the locks and tames the curls at the same time. This is really a great way to shape a curly hair because it defines the curls as well as gives it an extra romantic look.

What the video lack is styling the curly hair after the trim even if only the blow drying part. It is not good to separate the video for styling because the girl does not look good with the wet curls and does not have any appeal although I can see the back hair looks great already. I mean I cannot really appreciate it unless I also see the end part.

Two Parts

Cutting the video into two parts like this one, trimming and the styling, won’t be appreciated. I am disappointed just seeing a wet messy hair after the trim.

I love the look of stylish curly hair and I expect to see it at the end of the video. I love dramatic haircuts like blunt layer curly cuts but I guess it is not happening in this video! Besides the title is styling and the video content is only trimming the hair. The content does not deliver what it says in the title.

Your curls require the perfect length, layer and balance with less volume. Provided you get the right cut, it can look amazing with layers. Layers can really make a big difference with the way your hair looks.
